A delicious, creamy Toblerone Cocktail bursting with chocolate hazelnut flavour! Made with Kahlua, Baileys, Frangelico and cream, then sweetened with a drizzle of honey – this classic late-night cocktail will be ready to drink in just 2 minutes.

A Toblerone cocktail decorated with grated Toblerone, in a glass.

This Toblerone Cocktail recipe is made with the ultimate creamy/chocolatey/coffee trio of liqueurs… Kahlua, Frangelico hazelnut flavoured liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream!

It’s really just like dessert in a glass!

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Toblerone Cocktail without adding some grated Toblerone chocolate for garnish. Yum!

What You Need

Note: Please scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for ingredient quantities and the full detailed method.

Ingredients set out on a marble bench top.

  • Chocolate sauce – use your favourite chocolate sauce or chocolate syrup for dipping the rim of the glasses in.
  • Kahlua – a coffee and rum flavoured liqueur, one of the main ingredients of the popular Expresso Martini!
  • Frangelico – a hazelnut-flavoured liqueur, originating from northern Italy, now found all over the world.
  • Baileys Irish Cream – a cream liqueur made with Irish whiskey, cream, chocolate and vanilla flavours.
  • Honey – must be runny so choose a good liquid honey.
  • Cream – use a full-fat cream for utter deliciousness and have your cream well chilled.
  • Ice cubes.
  • Toblerone chocolate – grated, to garnish.

Expert Tips

T’s plenty of tips to make this Toblerone Cocktail a breeze!

  • If you don’t have chocolate sauce, you can use either melted chocolate or chocolate topping instead, or you can make your own chocolate sauce.
  • Make sure to chill the glasses in the fridge before serving the cocktails, as this will help keep them cold.
  • Use a strainer to pour the liquid into the prepared glasses to ensure a smooth, evenly mixed drink.
  • Experiment with different types of chocolate for the garnish, such as milk, dark, or white chocolate.
  • If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use a blender, or a jar with a tight-fitting lid instead. Simply add the ingredients to the jar, secure the lid tightly, and shake, shake, shake, vigorously for at least 30 seconds.
  • If you don’t have a strainer, you can use a fine-mesh sieve to pour the liquid into the glasses.
  • Serve the cocktails immediately after preparing them for the best taste!

FAQ’s

Can I use regular chocolate instead of Toblerone?

Yes! Even if you grate regular chocolate on top to garnish, the cocktail will still have a delicious Toblerone flavour thanks to the trio of Kahlua, Baileys and Frangelico!

Why is Toblerone so special?

Toblerone is a Swiss chocolate brand made in Bern. It is famous for its unique shape, consisting of a series of triangular prisms joined together and the lettering engraved into the chocolate.
