- Wonton wrappersĀ – these can be bought in the chilled section of the supermarket.
- Cream cheeseĀ – softened to room temp (I like using Philadelphia brand).
- Sour cream – full cream (not skim or light) is best.
- BaconĀ – cooked until crispy and then chopped into small chunks.
- Cheddar cheeseĀ – preferably freshly grated, as this has a better quality and texture than store bought grated cheese which has additives to prevent it from clumping.
- JalapenosĀ – deseeded and finely chopped.

Step 1 – Bake The Wontons
Preheat the oven to 170Ā°C (fan-forced) or 340Ā°F.
Spray a 24-hole mini muffin tin with cooking oil and carefully press a wonton wrapper into each hole.
Bake for 10 minutes or until slightly golden, then remove from the oven and set aside.
Step 2 – Mix The Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, grated cheese, and chopped jalapenos, reserving a little bacon and cheese for sprinkling on top.
Step 3 – Fill, Bake & Serve
Divide the mixture among the wonton cups and top with the reserved cheese and bacon.
Bake for 8 minutes until warmed through, and the cheese has melted, then serve immediately.
